In his recent trip while leading the group of students of Akal Academy Baru Sahib on the cultural-cum-educational tour of USA and Canada, Baba Iqbal Singh Ji (President of The Kalgidhar Society) paid a visit to the American University (Washington DC). The purpose of this visit was to inspect the environment of the place where students of Akal Academy are being admitted for their higher education. This year, Lovepreet Kaur, who won the US$ 8,000 scholarship has been admitted in Wayne State University and Pavneet Singh, who won 'American University Dean's Scholarship' amounting to US$ 18,000 annually, got admitted in American University (Washington DC)..

“We were touched when we heard the news that Baba Ji has personally visited the American University”, said the parents of Pavneet Singh in New Delhi. “This is the very first time when someone from our family has gone abroad”, said Lovepreet Kaur's mother. She further added showing great sense of satisfaction, “This visit of Baba Ji to the university showed that all the students studying in Akal Academy are taken care of as his own children.
