The Sikh Education Fund Committee (SEF) of the Association of Sikh Professionals (ASP) has awarded scholarships for the 2006-2007school year to Akal Academy graduates, Lovepreet Kaur and Pavneet Singh. Lovepreet Kaur studies at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan and Pavneet Singh at American University, Washington DC. Each one of them will receive a scholarship of $4000.00 as follows:

• $2,000 is a grant from Bhai Mohinder Singh Endowment Fund of SEF. This has been set up through the generosity of Dr. Gurpal Singh Bhuller and family in the memory of his late father Bhai Mohinder Singh Ji.
  
  
• $1,000 is a grant from S. Harbans Singh Akali Endowment Fund of SEF. This has been set up through the generosity of Dr. Harinderjit Singh and family in the memory of his late father S. Harbans Singh Ji Akali.
  
  
• $1,000 is an interest-free loan from Association of Sikh Professionals.
