On the first day, the programme began at 2.30 a.m. with Naam Simran followed by Paath of Sukhmani Sahib, Asa Di Var, Kirtan and Gurmat Vichar. The programme ended at 11 p.m. Similarly, on the second day, the programme started at 2.30 a.m. and ended at 5.30 p.m. Amrit Sanchar was held on Sunday, 18 February at 10 a.m. On both the days, the hall was packed to its full capacity.
The devotees paid rapt attention and enjoyed the heavenly bliss listening to spiritual discourses, preachings and devotional music rendered by famous Ragi Jathas and Dhadi Vaaraan by the students of Akal Academy, Baru Sahib on traditional musical instruments (Tanti Saaz). Dr. Khem Singh Ji and Dr. Gurbakhsh Singh Ji (USA) delivered lectures enlightening the Sangat about the activities of The Kalgidhar Trust and Sikhism respectively. The Ragi Jathas present on this auspicious occasion were Bhai Harjit Singh Gurdip Singh Ji, Bhai Guriqbal Singh Ji, Bhai Davinder Singh Ji (Sohana), Bhai Niranjan Singh Ji (Javaddi Kalan), Bhai Ravinder Singh Ji (Amritsar), Bhai Balbir Singh Ji (Amritsar), Bhai Kultar Singh Ji, Bhai Gurvinderpal Singh Ji (Amritsar), Bibi Santosh Kaur Ji & Baba Nirmal Singh Ji (Bhora Sahib, Hapur), Bhai Manpreet Singh Ji Kanpuri, Baba Mitha Singh Ji and Baba Niranjan Singh Ji Preetam Singh Ji (Agra Wale).
The spiritual discourses were delivered by Giani Pinderpal Singh Ji Khalsa (Ludhiane Wale) on both the days. Jaap - Waheguru Gurmantra was recited by the students of Gurmat Vidyalya with the Saadh Sangat in the ambrosial hours on both the days. Baba Harbans Singh Ji (Kar Sewa Wale) did Naam-Simran with the Saadh Sangat.
A blood donation camp was also organized in which several volunteers donated blood for the needy patients. In addition, many donors registered themselves for donating blood in any emergency in future.
A Pictorial Exhibition to depict the important events from the life history of Sant Attar Singh Ji and Sant Teja Singh Ji was organized. The devotees thronged the Pictorial Exhibition where life history of Sant Attar Singh Ji and Sant Teja Singh Ji was displayed in Gurmukhi with relevant pictures. This exhibition also depicted the academic and sports achievements of the students of different Akal Academies. Different display boards depicted the information about important events of 2006, Eternal University, Akal College of Engineering & Technology, Naturopathy, Akal Rozgar Yojna and Akal Global Network. Three large plasma screens were installed to display presentations, documentaries, religious skits performed by the students of Akal Academy and recordings of annual-cum-sports day of Akal Academy Baru Sahib.
Large quantity of Gurmat literature was obtained by the visiting devotees including the ‘Jiwan Katha of Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj’ written by Sant Teja Singh Ji (in two volumes) and ‘Sikh Sidhant’ written by Baba Iqbal Singh Ji. Saadh Sangat also obtained brochures and literature about Eternal University, Akal College of Engineering and Technology and other activities of The Kalgidhar Trust.
This programme has become a regular feature at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib. Thousands of devotees hailing from different parts of India and abroad participated in this entirely spiritual function.
The Sant Samagam –2007 came to conclusion with the message of revered Baba Iqbal Singh Ji at 5.30 p.m.
Prior to the main Samagam, the students of Akal Academy held two-week long morning/evening Diwans at various Gurdwaras of Delhi. Throughout the programme, thousands of devotees participated and attended the programmes with great zeal and devotion.
