A free medical camp was organized by The Kalgidhar Trust at Cheema Sahib on 2 August, 2007. Hundreds of poor patients from the surrounding villages of this remote area availed the facilities provided at this medical camp.
Dr. Rajinder Bansal (Neurologist) of Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, provided his free services to examine the patients. He said, “I got really impressed by the philanthropic activities being undertaken by The Kalgidhar Trust and decided to organize this medical camp with the co-operation of the Trust”. He also hoped that free monthly medical camps at Cheema Sahib will be organized soon to benefit the patients of epilepsy, paralysis and other neurological diseases.
Dr. Anurag Bharti (Dental Surgeon) also provided his free medical services to examine the patients. The people of this remote rural area eagerly wait for these medical camps as most of them belong to the lower strata of the society, who can’t afford the expenses of the costly medical treatment. Thousands have already benefited from the medical camps organized in the past.
