Akal Academy Baru Sahib Students excel in IAIS - 2005

 

The Akal Academy Baru Sahib students have excelled in the 2005 International Assessment for Indian Schools (held in September, 2005). The medals and certificates to the participants of this test are awarded by EAA-UNSW (Educational Assessment Australia - The University of New South Wales).

In this examination conducted with the association of Macmillan India Ltd., 5 students got High Distinction Certificates, 95 got Distinction Certificates and 232 got Credit Certificates. These tests expose the students to different testing skills and empower them to think logically and analytically. The teachers also benefit from these tests as they learn and modify the teaching methodologies to optimize learning uptake.

 Akal Academy, Baru Sahib student wins Gold Medal in IAIS (Maths)
 

Tejprakash Singh, an American national studying in Akal Academy Baru Sahib, has won the Gold Medal in the competition ‘International Assessment of Indian Schools’. This competition is conducted by the University of New South Wales, Australia every year. Tejprakash Singh won the laurels for the Akal Academy in Mathematics by topping the list wherein 59,000 students participated from all over the country.

He is also the topper of the Class X, Central Board of Secondary Examination, 2005 scoring 93.6% marks in aggregate. He topped the list in Maths and Science scoring 99/100 and 98/100 marks respectively.
