EKAS, a new program under the aegis of The Kalgidhar Society was launched on 16 April, 2006 in a seminar conducted at F-3, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi.

EKAS will network with other like-minded organizations and motivate teachers, professionals and administrative staff to join or volunteer their services at Baru Sahib and other locations. This will include networking with professionals and experts in the fields of language, management, career counseling and sports etc. to motivate them to hold seminars, quiz and other competitions etc. at different Academies. It will assist The Kalgidhar Society in conducting surveys on the impact of Akal Academies in the catchment areas.

EKAS is also taking action:

• To motivate medical fraternity to visit Akal Hospital, Baru Sahib on regular basis.
• To initiate Scholarships with assistance from The Kalgidhar Society.
• To coach bright students for various competitive entrance exams.
• To arrange trips of youngsters to Baru Sahib for Gurmat Camps.
• To start vocational training programs to generate employment.
• To facilitate placement of youth - a bridge between the haves and the have-nots.
