The Kalgidhar Trust organizes blood donation camp at Cheema Sahib

 

A blood donation camp was organized on the martyrdom-day of Guru Arjan Dev on 16 June 2008 by The Kalgidhar Trust at Gurdwara Janam Asthan Cheema Sahib in Punjab. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. V.K. Ohri (Dy. Commissioner, Sangrur) along with his wife Mrs. Neeru Ohri. The distinguished guests highly praised the noble deed where several people donated blood to save precious lives of the needy patients. Mrs. Ohri was highly appreciative of the lady blood donors. She also exhorted other women to come forward and participate in this great noble cause.

The blood donation camp was organized with the cooperation of civil hospital of Sangrur. The medical team was headed by Dr. Inderjeet Singla. The doctors were given siropa while blood donors were awarded certificates by the Deputy Commissioner. A total of 49 people donated blood in this camp. The other dignitaries present on this occasion were Mr. Bakshi (DPRO Sangrur), Mr. J.S. Shergill (Ex GM, Markfed), Col. Dr. Rajinder Singh (Head, De-addiction Center, Cheema Sahib) and Bhai Jaivinder Singh (Sewadar, Gurdwara Janam Asthan, Cheema Sahib).
