The world today needs men, who are honest, virtuous, selfless & compassionate and can show restraint despite extreme provocation; Men, who can show path of love and can 'give' without looking for any returns.

Keeping this vision in mind, The Kalgidhar Society initiated the concept of Gurmat Camps so that Sikh children of today are taught Sikh tenets and are exposed to the Sikh way of life. The basic tenets of Sikhism teach us to share, to do 'Sewa' (service) & meditation, and to devote one’s life doing 'Par-Upkar' (benevolence) and promoting universal brotherhood. It advocates dismantling of all barriers and boundaries and embracing humanity, and praying for ‘Sarbat Da Bhala’ (Welfare unto all). Today, the western world is struck by the concept of globalisation, the idea which Guru Nanak enunciated five centuries ago. The relevance of Sikh religion and the Sikh way of life is, thus, as relevant today as was in the past - albeit even more relevant.
